This privacy policy explains which personal data we process on swissblade.ai, for what purposes, and what rights you have. We process personal data in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and, where applicable, the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. What data we process
Server log data. When you visit our site, technical operation requires processing your IP address, date and time, the page accessed, and browser information (user agent). We need this data for secure operation (e.g., protection against abuse through rate limiting) and delete or anonymize it as soon as it is no longer needed for that purpose.
Reputation audit. When you enter a company name into the search, we forward this input to the Google Places API to find the matching Google Business Profile. If you start a scan, we retrieve the publicly visible Google reviews of that profile and cache the result for 24 hours so that repeated requests do not have to be executed multiple times. This is publicly accessible data.
Contact and quote form. If you request a quote or a callback, we process the data you provide: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), the company concerned, and the reviews you selected. We use this data exclusively to respond to your request and prepare a quote for you.
Appointment booking. You book consultation appointments directly on our results page. To schedule the appointment and hold the video call via Google Meet, we use Google Calendar (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA). In doing so, your name, email address, phone number and appointment time are transmitted to Google. Google also processes this data in the USA; we base this transfer on appropriate safeguards (in particular the standard contractual clauses recognized by the EU Commission and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
3. Purposes and legal bases
We process your data to provide our service (audit, quote, contract initiation), to respond to inquiries, to operate the website securely, and, with your consent, to send confirmation emails. The legal bases are contract initiation and performance, our legitimate interest in secure operation, and your consent (which you can withdraw at any time).
4. Analytics and ad measurement
We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, USA) to understand how our website is used and whether our ads work. Your browser sets cookies for this, and usage data is sent to Google: pages visited, approximate location based on a truncated IP address, device and browser information, and events such as a completed scan or a submitted request. We do not send names, email addresses, or other direct contact details to Google. Google also processes this data in the USA; we base the transfer on appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
You can prevent this measurement: block cookies for swissblade.ai in your browser, use Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Analytics, or adjust your Google ad settings.
Fonts are still served from our own server (no Google Fonts CDN). The current state of your audit stays in your browser’s local storage and never leaves your device.
5. Service providers and data transfers abroad
To operate our service, we use the following providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Railway Corp. (USA), hosting of the website and database
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC, Places API for company search
- Outscraper (USA), retrieval of public Google reviews
- Resend (USA), sending of confirmation emails
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA), Google Calendar and Google Meet for scheduling the appointment and holding the video call (name, email address, phone number, appointment time)
- Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (USA), Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking for audience and ad measurement (usage data, see section 4)
Some of these providers process data outside Switzerland and the EU, in particular in the USA. We base such transfers on appropriate safeguards (in particular the standard contractual clauses recognized by the EU Commission and the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or the Swiss–U.S. Data Privacy Framework) and only share the data necessary for the respective purpose. Beyond the ad measurement described in section 4, data is never shared for advertising purposes.
6. Retention
Scan results are cached for 24 hours. We retain inquiry and quote data for as long as necessary to process your request and any follow-up engagements, but no longer than required by statutory retention obligations. After that, the data is deleted or anonymized.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, and to receive a copy of your data. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time. Simply contact us at contact@swissblade.ai.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC): www.edoeb.admin.ch.
8. Changes
We may amend this privacy policy as needed. The current version published here applies.
